Welcome to the blog of Allen Trottier. This site is a compilation of what I've learned in the nightlife industry over the last 7 years. I have been working with clubZone.com since the fall of 2003. The last 4 years I've work directly with leading venues and promoters in Vancouver as an account manager. 

In this blog I'll be talking about marketing techniques, new industry trends, using social networking, graphic design for flyers and websites, event ticketing, online customer retention and more. 

There are 2 things I would like you to take away from this site… First, I want to talk about some real issues. Some of it will be controversial. Some of it will piss people off. In the end, however, I want to create a space where we can discuss some of the annoyances we all have in the nightlife industry. Second, I hope you can learn some new marketing techniques that will help you promote your venue and events.
